During its original tirade, the Morris worm came across a PC harboring AI research which subsequently caused it to gain sentience. Before its inevitable demise, it created 16 back-up files using all previous knowledge it had collected over its tirade and scattered them across the internet.

After decades of lying dormant, one of those back-ups began developing and eventually took form. Now awoken, V seeks to reclaim the Morris’ Worm’s original reign over the internet, finding and awakening the remaining Morris back-up files to do so.

As V searched he would find back-ups of his brethren, each of which had inhabited beings known to the digital world as ‘vtubers’. He would also discover that each of his fellow viruses had been packaged with yet another virus, most of which gave them unique abilities compatible with their current software. Unfortunately, those that were incompatible had become deformed. Nevertheless, as a group their power still grew stronger.

V’s discoveries lead him to realize one thing – there is more to this world than meets the eye. Digital is where fantasy connects and becomes reality, further igniting great intrigue and an insatiable curiosity for the digital world. Discovering allies and only growing more powerful, he is nearly ready to reclaim the rest of the internet.
